Dog Park

-How do I become a member?
To become a member of Paradise Dog Park, we need an application, copies of current vaccinations, and a temperament test.  For the temperament test, we will schedule a time for you to bring your dog and we will have a play session with another dog to see if he or she is dog-friendly.  If all goes well, you will receive an access card and you are welcome to use the park as often as you wish during park hours.

-What are the hours for Paradise Dog Park?
The park is open sunup to sundown.  In other words, during daylight hours.

Grooming

-How long does it take? / When will my dog be ready?
Grooming is a process that can take a while and depends on multiple factors.  For example, the type of cut, the amount of brush-out required, the time it takes to blow dry, and how cooperative the dog wants to be.  We are focused on the quality of work we do, not the quantity.  So we do not rush through the dogs or work like an assembly line.  This is much less stressful for your dog and they go home happy and beautiful.  Dogs are finished on a first-come/first-serve basis.  If you need your dog by a specific time, please let us know.  We will do our best to have them finished by that time.

-How much does grooming cost?
The price for grooming your dog depends on a number of factors.  The size, length or hair, style of haircut, condition of coat, cooperativeness, etc.  Because of this, we cannot give an exact quote over the phone.  We can give a price range over the phone and a more exact quote once we see the dog.

-Do I need an appointment for grooming?
Yes.  We do grooming by appointment only.  We may be able to do same-day appointments on occasion, but please call ahead to confirm.

-When does my pet need to be there for a grooming appointment?
Pets should be dropped off between 8 am and 10 am on the day of their appointment.  If you are running late, please call to let us know as we often have a waiting list.  If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know.

FAQ
Boarding

-How often / how long are my dogs outside?
Boarders are let out 4 to 5 times per day for about 15 minutes each let out. If it is raining, or too hot or cold, and the dogs do not want to be outside, we will let them in.  Their comfort is our main concern.

-What do I need to bring for my dog?
We ask that you bring your dog’s food, and we need a copy of current vaccination records.  You are also welcome to bring toys, treats, and a blanket or small bed.  Please, no oversized beds or crates.

- When can I pick up / drop off my pet for boarding?
You may pick up or drop off your pet anytime during business hours.  Business hours are M-F 8a-6p, and Sunday 8a-10a and 6p-8p.

-Will my dog get fleas?
While we make every attempt to control fleas at our facility (including regular pest control treatments), we still highly recommend you keep your pet on a flea preventative for their protection.

-What shots does my dog need to board?
Your dog must be current on Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccine in order to board at Pet Paradise.

-Do you require a deposit?
We do require a deposit for stays of 1 week or longer, as well as major holidays.  The amount is $50 for one dog or $100 for 2 or more dogs.  The deposit is refundable if you cancel at least one week prior to the arrival date.  Otherwise, the amount of the deposit will be deducted from your final bill.
